Never without their pets, thanks to FoMA

In an effort to keep pets in their homes where they belong, FoMA helps qualified pet owners who need temporary assistance so their pets do not have to be surrendered to a shelter. One of the ways we make that happen is by providing free pet food to families accessing United Way’s two food pantries and working to ensure that families can keep their pets as they struggle with Covid 19 challenges.

“Feeding South Florida” provides direct-service programs to individuals in need of assistance. This includes benefits application assistance, access to their choice pantry, referrals for longer-term food assistance at a partner agency, and home delivery for qualified individuals. Pet owners can “shop” for the food essentials their family needs to thrive, free of charge, once per month. We added the four-legged family members to that definition of the family, and thanks to our partnership with Chewy, FoMA now delivers XXX pounds of pet food every month on site for pet owners.
